I always wanted to teach. So I went to college, got a Masters Degree in education and started teaching. Then God blessed us with a baby boy and I never wanted to teach again. So I quit. People often ask what I am "teaching" my son at home. I am writing this blog to share ideas with others and to keep myself on track. I hope you enjoy teaching your little one as much I do. I am truly loving every minute!
The Mommy
I have many different roles in my life. But by far the role that brings me the most joy is being a Mom to my son. I love my son more than I ever imagined I could love someone and I am thankful beyond words that I get to spend each day with him. As a teacher, I always loved watching as a child understood something for the first time. Teachers always refered to this as a "light bulb" moment, when the light finally came on and they got it! It was always so rewarding to see my hard work paying off and realizing that I was helping a child. My work was worthwhile because that child learned something and I was so proud of them. But when the child who learns something is your own flesh and blood, your heart melts with pride. That's how I feel every time my little guy learns something new. I can't stop smiling. I am thankful everyday to be able to teach my son. It is truly the most wonderful job in the world.
